Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to RIAM: Research in Applied Management undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic contribution of the published articles.

The journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and fairness.

The peer review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
    The editorial team evaluates submitted manuscripts to ensure their conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, academic writing standards, and publication ethics. Manuscripts may also be screened for plagiarism using similarity detection software.
  2. Reviewer Assignment
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area.
  3. Double-Blind Review Process
    Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several criteria, including:
    • originality and novelty,
    • theoretical contribution,
    • methodological rigor,
    • clarity of analysis,
    • relevance to applied management studies,
    • and overall academic quality.
  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
    • Accept Submission,
    • Revisions Required,
    • Resubmit for Review,
    • or Decline Submission.
  5. Revision Process
    Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
  6. Final Decision and Publication
    The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and publication.
