Publication Ethics

RIAM: Research in Applied Management is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows ethical publishing principles to ensure the integrity, quality, and credibility of scholarly publications.

This publication ethics statement is developed in accordance with the ethical guidelines and best practices established by the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to RIAM must ensure that:

• the submitted work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere;
• all sources and references are properly cited;
• the manuscript does not contain plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification;
• authorship reflects individuals who significantly contributed to the research;
• all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript;
• conflicts of interest, financial support, or funding sources are disclosed where applicable;
• and any errors identified after publication are promptly reported to the editor.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

• evaluating manuscripts fairly and objectively based on academic merit without discrimination;
• maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts;
• ensuring a fair and unbiased peer review process;
• making publication decisions based on scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and reviewer recommendations;
• preventing conflicts of interest;
• and taking appropriate action regarding ethical concerns, plagiarism, or publication misconduct.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

• provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts;
• maintain confidentiality of all reviewed materials;
• identify relevant published work not cited by the authors;
• report suspected plagiarism, duplication, or ethical misconduct;
• and avoid reviewing manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

Publication Integrity

RIAM strictly prohibits:

• plagiarism,
• duplicate publication,
• data fabrication,
• data falsification,
• citation manipulation,
• and other unethical publication practices.

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review.

Ethical Oversight

The editorial board reserves the right to:

• reject manuscripts that violate publication ethics,
• retract published articles when necessary,
• publish corrections or clarifications,
• and take appropriate actions to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

RIAM encourages all parties involved in the publication process to uphold ethical research and publishing practices in accordance with internationally recognized academic standards and COPE Core Practices.
